What is an Escape Room?

You and your team are locked in a room for 60 minutes, you have to solve the puzzles, riddles and the mystery to get out in time.

When are you open?

Tuesday through Sunday. Check our online booking system for live availability. All rooms are air-conditioned.

How much does it cost?

Adults £24.50 per person. Students and Blue Light card holders £22. Children aged 6-17 are £20. Under 5s are free. The minimum team price is £56.

Are there age restrictions?

Children aged 16 and under must have an accompanying adult. Children under 6 are free but still count toward the 7-person room limit.

What is the ideal group size?

4-5 people is the optimal group size. Our rooms take teams of 2-7 players.

Do I need to speak English?

Teams should have at least one member who is fluent in English, as all puzzles, clues, and instructions are in English.

Where do I park?

There is no on-site parking. Smythen Street Car Park and Mary Arches Car Park are both nearby and within easy walking distance.

Is it suitable for children?

Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult on site. Children under 6 can play for free but still count toward the maximum team size of 7. A group of 4 or 5 people is optimal, though larger groups offer more perspectives and smaller groups allow clearer communication.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations are allowed up to 48 hours before your booking for a full refund. After the 48-hour window has passed we will not provide a refund, except in extenuating circumstances.

I have a voucher — how do I redeem it?

Red House Mysteries Gift Vouchers can be redeemed on our booking system during checkout. Our vouchers are valid for Red House Mysteries Exeter, Lock and Code Escape Rooms Taunton, and Lock and Code Escape Rooms Weston-super-Mare.
